Description: An atmospheric river hit British Columbia on November 14, 2021 resulting in severe floods and landslides which washed out roads, cut off access to multiple towns in BC, and caused multiple deaths. This webinar will provide an overview of the science behind the conditions which caused the significant flooding. We will review covered perils and discuss how to assist clients when coverage is not available. During the webinar we will look at lessons learned, and discuss prevention and mitigation measures that can be taken going forward to help prepare for these events in the future.
